First came the adhd diagnosis in my childhood then I wasn’t diagnosed with autism until adulthood….What a ride it’s been. I still struggle but I have answers now and can properly accomodate and help myself. It quite literally saved my life. Navigating life without answers and never being able to put my finger on my struggles in social communication, non verbal communication, difficulty with relationships, restricted interests, repetitive speech / mannerisms, sensory differences, intense interests, certain delays, struggling with daily tasks, God the list goes on and on. I was drowning daily. @Kaligirwa breaks down the criteria in a pinned post of hers. learning about autism because of my son led to answers for myself. I’m grateful.
