In
#GetScrumming today, I'm going to be talking about how
#Scrum can help with
#parenting and raising responsible
#children or a
#child . ⚠️ Please note that this would be more productive if you use the authoritative parenting style which is the healthiest style of parenting. ACCOUNTABILITIES: 💡 As the parent, your accountabilities would be a Scrum Master and fellow Developer as necessary. 💡 If both parents are involved, one can be the Product Owner, while the other is the Scrum Master. Both parents can also double as Developers as at when needed. 💡 The child(ren) will be accountable as the developer(s). EVENTS 💡 Sprint Planning: Pick a task from your backlog of tasks you would want the child(ren) to accomplish and have a tête à tête. 💡 Discuss the progress every day for the rest of the week, preferably, during breakfast, and resist the urge to micromanage. Tip: teaching them the benefit of daily scrum ahead of time will help mitigate micromanagement as they'll feel empowered to start the daily conversation by themselves. Be supportive without being judgmental, and offer to help when you sense that there's an impediment that's hindering the progress of the task. 💡 Sprint Review: At the end of the week, do an inspection and suggest any needed improvements. 💡 Retrospective: Celebrate wins and brainstorm better ways to achieve the tasks in the future or the next tasks. Repeat steps for the next tasks. You're welcome! What else should I talk about?
