protein bagel recipe🤤⬇️ INGREDIENTS 1 cup all purpose unbleached flour 2 tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp kosher salt (less if using table salt) 1 cup low fat cottage cheese (extra liquid strained) 1 egg white seasonings of choice DIRECTIONS: combine flour, salt, baking powder and cottage cheese. *drain as much liquid from cottage cheese as possible! the less liquid = the less sticky the dough will be*. mix with a fork until it forms small crumbles then knead the dough for about 2 mins. split dough into 4 equal balls. to make the bagel shape you can either: make a ball and then poke a hole through the middle and slightly stretch OR roll into a rope and join the ends to form the bagel. brush each bagel with egg wash (either an egg beaten or an egg white). season the tops or leave plain! I like to use everything but the bagel seasoning and chili crunch seasoming! you can also use sesame seeds, cheese, etc! pop in the air fryer at 300° for 15 mins OR bake in the oven at 375° for 25 mins on the top rack. let each bagel cool for at least 15 minutes — this is must! it really improves the texture of the bagel when you let it sit! makes 4 bagels. each bagel is 165 cals + 10g protein! that’s it! tag me @lexingtonbrewer if you try it!
