This is a holiday staple for me!!! And yeah it’s more like a dessert than breakfast, but it’s the holidays 😂 Overnight French Toast! A hybrid French Toast/ Bread pudding that is so easy to have ready for Christmas Morning! Ingredients: French Toast • 1 loaf of Challah or Brioche bread @St Pierre USA , cut into 1 inch slices • 8 whole eggs, I used @Happy Egg • 1 cup heavy cream • 1 cup whole milk • 2 tbsp maple syrup • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 tsp @Osmo Salt vanilla bourbon salt • 1 - 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon • butter for the pan Streusel • 1/2 stick unsalted butter, melted • 1/4 cup brown sugar • 1.5 tbsp sugar • 1 tsp ground cinnamon • 2/3 cup flour • salt Instructions 1. Start by slicing up the bread and setting it on a cooling rack to dry for 15-20 minutes. 2. Make the custard by mixing the eggs, cream, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Once it’s smooth, set aside. 3. Now we can place the dried bread in a large buttered baking dish, each piece should be slightly overlapped. Then pour the custard over the top of the bread making sure all pieces are coated. The remaining at the bottom will absorb during the cook! Cover and place in the fridge for 8-12 hours. 4. The next day, preheat the oven to 350F and pull the French toast out of the fridge. 5. Top the French toast with the streusel, and bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes. 6. Let it cool for a few minutes when you take it out of the oven, and serve with powdered sugar and maple syrup! Enjoy! #overnightfrenchtoast #frenchtoast #bakedfrenchtoast #christmasfood #christmasrecipes #breakfast #breakfastrecipes #holidayfood #holidayrecipes #EasyRecipes #simplerecipes #fyp #foryou #food #Foodie #Recipe
