Replying to @katmcc317 Banner painting tips for beginners! Save this for reference, there’s a list of all the tips at the bottom of the caption!🎨👇🏼 These are just general tips/tricks for getting started. If you have any other questions, drop them here & I’ll make a follow up video! ✨TIPS & TRICKS✨ 1. Start out with this roll of brown paper from dollar tree instead of purchasing the large/more expensive rolls. (Just be careful cutting them because they are a little thin!) 2. Trace your design with a chalk pencil from the craft store. (Accessories like pencil sharpeners & erasers can be bought at dollar tree! You don’t have to splurge on everything!) 3. If you’re painting your banner on a table, cut it a little bit long, so the overhang curls around the table and holds itself in place. 4. Makeup brushes are the best paint brushes 5. Paint: any matte craft acrylics 6. Add highlight/shading to colors while your base color is still wet 7. Just don’t add too many layers bc it can rip your paper! 8. Always keep a shade of paint that matches the color of your paper handy! You never know when you may need it. (I’m using Khaki by Apple Barrel) 9. If you get a ~paint smudge~ somewhere, throw a little sparkle/ sprinkle/confetti over it to cover it! 10. When you roll up your banner, do it loosely and straighten any wrinkles along the way 11. Once it’s rolled, secure your banner with ribbon or twine in 3 sections 12. Finish it off with a thank you card! I print mine on 8.5x11 card stock at Office Depot and cut them out individually. I write a personal note on the back of each! • •
