My teachers labeled me as “trash” because I grew up on the island... “beach trash” they called me... not all, but some, little did they know, despite their words, that I would grow into a successful woman, with two houses, two kids, Two jobs, two businesses... They didn’t realize because my parents were entrepreneurs I would learn more from them than I would ever gain from from a low life coach who needed to work firework tents in the summer to get by. I would come home crying telling my parents about these words, and they said “next time that asshole calls you that, you tell him my parents’ taxes pay your salary”. My mom would call out my brothers coaches and say... “you’re going to call our children beach trash when every banner around your stadium supports your boosters for your team here are BEACH businesses?!?” I’m so glad I grew up with “beach mentality” and I am 1000 times better off because of this life. Thanks Mom and Bup! I love you because you showed me how to go from absolutely nothing, to living like God’s People and that he will reward us with the life we were promised! And no matter where I live or how much I’m struggling, I will always support my kids’ schools, and remind them NOT to mess with my kids Because they will one day be JUST as powerful as ME! . . . .
