How to do a sit spin in figure skating!⛸️❄️ this is one of the three basics spin positions you will learn as a skater. A lot of beginners struggle with this spin because it can be a bit tricky when you first start. If your two foot or one foot spin can barely get any revs or momentum you will absolutely struggle with your sit spin. Make sure to strengthen the basics before working on your sit. The second thing that a lot of skaters overlook, including myself when I first started working on my sit spin is the fact that you need to push yourself out of your comfort zone to go lower. I’ve never recorded myself ice skating before and I am feeling humbled to the nth degree 🤣 as someone who is used to picking up on stiff so easily, having a hobby that I have to struggle my way through, and face my fears every single time I’m on the icd, is SOOO good for me. You’re not going to be the best at everything, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. 🫶🏼 #beginnericeskater #learntoskate
