Sucking your belly in to make yourself look thinner is doing you more harm than good We need to consider that we are forcing our bodies into a position and shape we are not meant to fit. This isn’t going to go without some consequences. There is no free lunch. If you are sucking the contents of your abdomen in at all times, that stuff has to go somewhere. It’s not going to evaporate into thin air. So we will be creating an environment where we are pushing those contents in, back, and down into our abdomen. I was working out, dieting and doing ALL the things!!! The scale didn't budge! I'd sit on the floor of my home office with tears streaming down my face…. What in the h3ll is wrong with me?!  Why can't I lose weight, Id cry or think out loud!! Little did I know, my body was battling with High Cortisol which was keeping me tired, bloated & totally inflamed. After I learned how to balance and control cortisol I started conquering my weight goals! My energy sky rocketed and my puffy face went away.  Here are the 5 things I  🛑STOPPED🛑 doing so I could start to lose weight after I found out I had High Cortisol👇🏼 1. Hard HIIT workouts- when your body has high cortisol every intense workout you do is releasing more cortisol, causing further inflammation in the body.      2. Eating too few calories & not enough protein,- when you don't have enough protein and calories, your body will go into starvation mode, halting your metabolism! And you should be eating at least 100 g of protein a day   3. Going to bed at midnight or just too late period!! Our bodies won't heal if you aren't sleeping enough hours! Cortisol also helps coordinate your sleep cycles! 4. Not drinking enough water 💦 ‼️- This will allow your body to remove the cortisol and return to a healthy balance. Increasing your water consumption is vital to cortisol health, drink at least half your body weight of water and ounces. For example, if you weigh 180, you should drink 90 ounces of water  5. Skipping Vitamins and supplements- your body is in a state of emergency. The correct supplements can aid your gut and heal your body! In all seriousness the 3 🔑 Tips you need to remember when trying to lose fat are … 1️⃣ Eat Right >> Eating Healthy:  You can eat healthy and still be overeating calories. You can eat healthy and not be getting the necessary nutrients and macros. Instead enjoy your favorite foods in moderation and make sure you have your macros and calories dialed in.  2️⃣ Resistance Train:  Doing cardio 24/7 will help you lose weight but if you want to “tone” strength training is key. 3-4 times a week for 45 minutes at a time is perfect.  3️⃣ Move More & Do So Consistently:  If you like running and can do it everyday, go for it. If not, stick to steady state cardio.
