🎄✨ The holidays are magical, but let’s not rush the real magic. Inducing your baby just to fit a holiday schedule? Not groovy, mama. Here’s the deal: Baby knows when they’re ready, and that perfect timing isn’t determined by turkey dinners or twinkling lights. Early elective inductions can increase risks of complications, a longer labor, and interventions you might not want. Plus, isn’t the best gift letting your baby pick their own birthday? 🎁 The holidays come every year, but your baby only gets one birth day. Let's honor that sacred timing and say no to the unnecessary hustle. ✨ 🎄 Are you keeping it au naturel this holiday season? Drop a ❤️ if you’re letting baby call the shots! #HGIC #SayNoToDrugs #UnmedicatedBirth #birthprepcoach #birthplan #birth
It’s totally possible to give birth without an epidural! Not only is it possible, its almost always the better option for you and babe (based on medical risks vs benefits). You had a growth scan where baby measured “big” 🧑‍⚕️ cue the classic line from your provider that sounds more like a command than a suggestion. ✨But let’s pause for a second.✨ Did you know that a "big baby" (also known as macrosomia) is one of the most overused reasons for suggesting an unnecessary C-section? Studies show that ultrasounds can be off by up to TWO pounds when estimating a baby’s weight. That’s a huge margin for error, especially when the stakes are high. Here’s the thing: You have options. You have a voice. You have the RIGHT to make an informed decision. Big baby? Cool. That doesn’t *automatically* mean your birth plan needs to go out the window. ✨What you CAN do instead: ➡️ Ask about evidence-based reasons for the recommendation. ➡️ Use your B.R.A.I.N (What are the Benefits, Risks, Alternatives, Intuition, and what if I do Nothing (yet)). ➡️ Trust your body—big babies can and have been born vaginally. Your provider works for *you,* not the other way around. So if their recommendation doesn’t sit right, it’s okay to say, “Thanks, but no thanks!” ✨ Let’s normalize advocating for ourselves in the birth space! ✨ #birthprepcoach #birthprep #birth #birthplan #unmedicatedbirth
