#CapCut Stepping Into Royalty: A Queen Mother for a Day šŸ‘‘ Today, I did something absolutely amazingā€”I embraced Ghanaian culture in the most regal way possible. I took traditional photos as a Queen Mother, dressed in rich, vibrant kente cloth and adorned in layers of gold that symbolize wealth, royalty, and divine power. This wasnā€™t just a photo session; it was an experience that connected me to centuries of heritage and tradition. Let me educate yā€™all for a minuteā€”kente isnā€™t just fabric; itā€™s art and history woven together. Each color and pattern has a meaning, from strength and leadership to spirituality and community. The gold I wore? Ghana is known as the Gold Coast for a reason! Gold has always been a symbol of power and prosperity in African culture, especially for royalty. To wear it today felt like stepping back into my ancestorsā€™ shoes, carrying their legacy forward. This experience reminded me of the richness of African culture and how important it is to celebrate it. I felt powerful, beautiful, and deeply connected to something greater than myself. Now, Iā€™m curiousā€”would yā€™all like to see something like this back on the coast? A chance to step into royalty, learn about the culture, and take photos in traditional Ghanaian attire? If so, drop a šŸ‡¬šŸ‡ below and let me know! #QueenMotherForADay #GhanaianCulture #KenteAndGold #RoyaltyUnleashed #BlackGirlTravels #over40club #alohaglamour #womanking #todaysadventure

#CapCut Makola Market Chronicles: Fabric, Focus, and 10 Pounds Later šŸ›ļøā˜€ļø Yesterday, I braved the iconic Makola Market in Accra to shop for fabrics for my next Aloha Glamour collection, and baby, it was a WHOLE experience. Thereā€™s something about Ghana that always recharges me and reminds me of my why. The colors, the energy, the cultureā€”itā€™s like a reset button for my creativity. But let me tell youā€¦ that sun? šŸ”„ Whew, it was cooking! Add in the fast walking, the crowds, and me and my girl Gladys weaving through stalls like we were on a mission. Iā€™m pretty sure we lost 10 pounds just from walking alone. šŸ˜‚ Makola Market isnā€™t your regular shopping tripā€”itā€™s like every big mall youā€™ve ever been to but on steroids. Established in the 1920s, itā€™s been the heartbeat of commerce in Accra, full of energy, culture, and chaos in the best way. You can find everything thereā€”fabrics, earrings, beads, bracelets, clothes, spicesā€¦ I had to remind myself, ā€œSis, FOCUS!ā€ I came for fabrics, not to bring the entire market back with me. By the time we wrapped up, I was drained but fulfilled. These fabrics are going to be something special, and I canā€™t wait to bring them to life. Shopping in Makola reminded me once again of the beauty in hard work, hustle, and heritage. Ghana stays giving me what I need, even when it takes all my energy in the process. If youā€™ve never been, add it to your listā€”but come ready to sweat, shop, and soak it all in. #Mak#MakolaMarketa#GhanaAdventureso#AlohaGlamourb#FabricShoppingDiariesyIGo #BlackGirlTravels #over40club #todaysadventure #dettydecember #glamouringhana #yesterdaysadventure #ghanatiktok #lifewithlexi
