💫Tldr💫 I finally love my hair. I feel powerful and finally, like myself. Thank you @Trielocs for your magic hands and guidance🤍🤍🤍 To my locs, my crown, my story, my inheritance—thank you. You have been my teacher, guiding me through a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. There was a time when I hated you, when I longed to change you, believing the world’s lies that you weren’t enough. I prayed to love you, to see you for the beauty you truly are. Now, I know better. You are strength, you are history, you are me. Through every twist and every strand, you remind me of the power in embracing my authenticity. You carry more than just my story; you hold my mother’s, too. When cancer took her hair, I took what she lost and added it to mine, weaving her into this journey of growth and healing. Together, we grow, healthy and strong, becoming something beautiful. You are the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had—a reflection of the love I now have for myself. When I look in the mirror, I no longer see someone I’m trying to change. I see me—whole, unapologetic, and free. I love my locs, and I love the person they’ve helped me become.
