If you haven’t had Arepi yet, RUN. I’ve been a fan ever since I tried their food at the Baltimore Food Market, and trust me when I say they’re a must try. Their arepas are obviously delish, but you should also get: ▪️Party Beast Cachapa ($13.50): This was my first time trying a cachapa, and I’m already dreaming about my next. It’s a traditional Venezuelan sweet corn pancake filled with artisan Venezuelan white cheese and a protein + sauce of your choice. I went with their braised pork loin and spicy sauce because I love a good kick. It was packed with flavor, and it had a lovely sweetness to it that I enjoyed. I also really liked the contrast between the slightly crisp exterior + almost creamy filling. YUM! ▪️Urbanite Empanada ($5): Another winner. Fried in SUPER clean oil & served with the most yum dipping sauce. Loved the slightly sweet corn dough ❤ ▪️Cachito ($7): cachitos are a Venezuelan breakfast staple. It’s a horn-shared bread roll (cachito means little horn in Spanish) that’s filled with various goodies. Arepi offers 3 different kinds, and I got to try the ham + cream cheese 😃 The dough’s super fluffy, reminded me of brioche, and the filling to bread ratio was great. ▪️Pavillion Arepa ($13): My first time trying their pavillion arepa, and it was lovely! It was stuffed with braised beef, fried sweet plantains, black beans, and mozzarella cheese. Choose between mild or spicy sauce (or get both =P) and go wild with add ons if you want to further stuff your handheld. Have you guys tried their food yet? Let me know by commenting below, Nomsters! PS. there’s a small (and free) parking lot attached! PPS. A huge thanks to the Arepi team for their wonderful hospitality. They let me film some BTS and generously sent out some extra goodies for me to try (cachito + empanada) 🫶 📍1616 Thames St, Baltimore ⏰M-Sa 10-8pm, Su 10-5pm
