I personally think that is a problem, because most people reducing their calorie intake are not doing it like this. They are not trying to get to single digit body fat percentages. But, I do think there are some important lessons here. 1. Reducing your calorie intake can cause side effects. Many people do feel hungrier, for example. 2. This is particularly pronounced when people diet very aggressively, or to very low body fat percentages. For example, if you survey a group of bodybuilders who diet to 5% body fat, a lot of them will list some similar symptoms that these participants listed.
