My story is just one of many. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet, only 10% of cases are linked to genetics. This year, over 310,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and 42,000 will die. Black women face the highest mortality rates. We hear about breast cancer a lot, but that isn’t enough. We need more conversations about how to prevent breast cancer and reduce our risk. While we can’t change our genes, we can change our environment and the choices we make every day. This post isn’t to scare anyone, but to give you options to make conscious changes. It’s not about being perfect, living a 100% toxin free life is impossible, instead focus on lowing your toxic exposure when possible. It’s about being informed and making small changes. 💕
