It’s not anything crazy or spicy, just good ole chili that’s delicious for the whole family. Rachel’s Homestyle Chili 2 cans (16 oz.) mild chili beans 2 lb. ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste 1 cup water 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. chili powder 2 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. cumin 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper, optional 1 tsp. sugar additional salt, black pepper, and chili powder In a skillet cook beef and onion until brown. Season the meat with additional salt, pepper, garlic powder, and chili powder while it's cooking. Drain excess grease. Transfer meat to a pot and stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and let simmer for about 30 minutes. Serve with cornbread, shredded cheese, and sour cream. Yield: 10-12 servings
