𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲: 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 One of my favorite dishes to make for large gatherings and the holidays is this crispy pork belly. It’s easy to make and so delicious. It’s super crispy on the outside and the meat is tender and moist. Some tips... try to get a pork belly that has more meat (vs fat) and one that is evenly distributed. Ask the butcher for the center cut of the pork belly. The pork belly I bought this time was pretty fatty and very thick so it took a little longer to cook. Ingredients: Prep - 5.5 lb pork belly 2.5 tsp salt 2.5 tsp sugar Skin Rub - 1.5 tbsp white vinegar 2.5 tsp salt Meat Rub- .5 tsp chinese five spice .5 tsp salt Instructions: 1. Boil water in a large pan and add 2.5 tsp salt and 2.5 tsp sugar. Then add the pork belly skin side down and cook for 8-10 min on each side 2. Remove the pork belly and cool on a rack. Once cool, pat dry the pork belly with a paper towel 3. Then get something sharp (fork or skewer) and punch a lot of holes into the skin of the pork belly. Make sure to not pierce too deep. You want to avoid piercing into the meat and only pierce the skin layer 4. Then brush half of the vinegar on the pork skin and sprinkle half the salt. Let it rest for 10 minutes and repeat the process 5. Put the pork belly into the fridge uncovered for 24 hours 6. Take your pork belly out of the fridge and apply the meat rub on the sides and the bottom of the pork belly 7. Then add the pork belly in the air fryer for 40-60 minutes at 200 C (392 F). The time will depend on the thickness of your pork belly. Mine took about 55 minutes 8. Once done, let it rest for 15 minutes before cutting. I like to eat this with rice, cucumbers and a side of hoisin sauce (Lee Kum Kee brand) #crispyporkbelly #airfryerrecipes #christmasdinner #holidayrecipe #EasyRecipe
