It’s so true tho. 🤣 I went on YouTube, watched a video and learned basic stitches and then tried and failed and tried and failed and tried and failed until I finally tried and succeeded. I didn’t buy any kits. I didn’t pay for any how to masterclasses. I just decided one day that I was so tired of doomscrolling and looking at the same boring things on the internet every day and chose to learn something that would busy my hands and fill my time. I can’t say that everyone will love embroidery, but I can say that everyone should try it at least once. I didn’t know I had any artistic abilities at all until I was 28. Isn’t that crazy?! I think about the friends I had growing up who seemed to be artistically gifted and naturally good at drawing or painting and because I never had a draw to any of those things, I just assumed I’d never be good at any of it. And if I never decided to try embroidery, perhaps I never would have discovered that I was capable of being really good at something that brings me so much joy. So anyway. Google that thing you’ve been wanting to learn how to do and learn it. 👌🏻 Side note: my goal in 2025 is to film more videos like the one of me in this sweater stitching so that I can give you new content.
