Giant talpids are creatures that resemble huge moles, coming in many different shapes and varieties. These creatures are often ridden by creatures of the Dark Below, as well as by dwarves and other primarily subterranean creatures in need of mounts capable of digging easily through earth and stone. These massive mammals have been reared specifically to obey orders and bear a rider, and are almost always found wearing armor that covers their bodies and at least one claw, allowing for less exhausting digging work. Check out the Rust Monster Behemoth for #MonsterMonday! “...Rust monster behemoths are rust monsters that have gorged themselves on metal to such a degree they “evolve”, pupating for several weeks before emerging into a new “adult”form. These rust monsters are capable of devouring and corroding any metal (whether ferrous, magical, or nonmagical) and are true terrors to any adventuring party or faction using metal objects. The most common practice for sicking rust monster behemoths on a particular group is to capture pupating rust monsters. When the pupae hatch, the hungry behemoths corrode, dissolve, and devour all metal in their path.
