Replying to @LumiiLee As I said before, this is not LVMH. Most of these companies are still controlled by their founders and those that have been bought up (Meta, Moitié) are often still owned by relatively small firms and the direction still comes from a small team. And then you also have Physical Drop or Antique Beast who are often sewing their pieces themselves like. In their bedrooms. (I think PD does some factory production but Kato also regularly posts photos of her sewing a pile of dresses and hauling them to a pop up.) We care about replicas because we want the artists in our community, the folks who have made our communit, to be able to keep making art. And even beyond replicas? Getting a cheap dress made to the design of something from PD or BtSSB? You wouldn’t be paying a factory worker a fair wage. It isn’t possible. Don’t pretend you’re campaigning for the working class here. You just think it’s fine to exploit women if you don’t have to see it. But hey! This got me to make a video. Thanks for the giggle. —
