Heavy brow + Botox + green screen goofin’ This is the wrong patient for Botox, this is 💯 genetic, yet neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify) are often the first option offered in these “I have lines on my forehead and a heavy brow“ situations, all out of a lack of understanding. The misunderstanding that Botox is going to lift a heavy forehead like this is prevalent, even pervasive, but it’s quite simple logic that weakening the ONLY muscle that lifts our forehead is not going to provide a brow lift - in fact, it will do quite the opposite, instead causing the majority of the brow to drop, except for any portion that is overcompensating (which is usually the outside edge). 🖖🏻 This gives a very oddly peaked brow shape, commonly called “Spocking.“ Being respectful of her baseline and her age, we took a completely scarless approach to her upper eyelids, where I performed my completely scarless upper eyelid blepharoplasty (you will not see this that often, if at all anywhere else) and my scarless approach to a ptosis repair. It certainly earns its name!🪄✨ When I see a younger person in their 30s, 40s, or sometimes even 50s who had a traditional facelift approach for what was in reality early and mild sagging or gravitational aging, it quite literally breaks my heart. To satisfy our goals of a 💯🥷 stealth outcome. For some of my patients, they want the improvement, yet they’re also really, really happy with where they’re currently at, and they are just looking for small needle movements to achieve the goals they are after - and that was certainly the situation here, as SUBTLE was our definition of success. We achieved that very well. From a zoomed out, 30,000 foot view you can certainly see that she is improved, yet it’s hard to tell exactly what happened! This is success. Let me help you see what to look for: We reshaped the brow fat pad and perked laterally while taking tension off of her forehead to reduce wrinkles. An upper eyelid restructuring with fat pad transposition restored a crisp, even shape and volume to her upper lids. A scarless lower eye bag removal with fat pad transposition utilized her pre-existing, stem cell rich fat pads to simultaneously reduce her eyebags, eliminate her tear trough, and blur the transition from lid to cheek. My stem cell rich fat transfer volumized multiple areas of her face, subtly, to add strength and structure to her temples, cheek, lower face, jawline, around her mouth and smile lines. My customized cocktail of lasers restructured and strengthened her skin, reduced wrinkles and evened out pigmentary discrepancies.
