These 87 boards cut wrong? We are going to let that slide. But the next 87 better be OKish. #construction #newhire #equalopportunity #hugepersonality
@drmonicacox said it best, "Instead of showing me your diversity statement, show me your hiring data, your discrimination claim stats, your salary tables, your retention numbers, your diversity policies, and your leaders’ public actions against racism. End performative allyship." #diversity #inclusion #equalopportunity #leadershiprepresentation #discrimination #papertrail #employmentattorney

The Disrespect of Black Doctors: It’s Time for Change As a Black doctor, I’ve experienced the painful reality of being disrespected and undermined simply because of the color of my skin. Whether it’s patients questioning my expertise, colleagues minimizing my input, or systemic racism embedded within healthcare, the disrespect of Black doctors is a real issue—and it needs to change. Here’s the truth: • Black doctors face racism in the form of microaggressions, blatant disregard, and an expectation to prove our worth over and over again. • Our credentials and expertise are often questioned, even though we’ve gone through the same rigorous training, education, and dedication to serve our patients and communities. • This lack of respect is not just about individual encounters—it’s about a healthcare system that has long devalued Black professionals and the communities we serve. This disrespect must stop. We need to change the way society and the healthcare system view and treat Black doctors: • Respect for all healthcare professionals: Our education, experience, and dedication should speak for themselves—just like anyone else in the field. • Dismantling systemic racism in healthcare: We must address the deep-rooted biases in the healthcare system that perpetuate this disrespect. • Honoring diversity in medicine: Patients deserve to be cared for by doctors from all backgrounds, and Black doctors deserve the same respect and opportunities as their peers. The future of healthcare depends on equity, respect, and fairness for everyone involved—including the doctors who work tirelessly to heal and uplift communities. It’s time for the disrespect to end, and for the system to recognize the value and contributions of Black doctors. Let’s create a healthcare system where all doctors are respected and valued, no matter their race. #RespectBlackDoctors #HealthcareEquity #EndRacismInHealthcare #BlackProfessionalsMatter #EqualOpportunity #DiversityInMedicine #RespectInHealthcare #BreakingBarriers #ChangeInHealthcare
