Ulcers are criminally under studied in my opinion. I absolutely believe there are genetic and bacterial components we haven’t found yet. Maybe because anti-ulcer products are such a huge part of the market? 🧐 What do you think? And have you ever treated ulcers? - - Tags 👇🏼 - #horsetrainer #equestrian #showjumper #hunterjumper #dressage #derbyhorse #englishrider #warmblood #ottb #homebred #horsebreeder #barnowner #arkansas #horsetraining #equineulcers #ulcerativecolitis #gastriculcers #equineeducation
In every session I check the range of motion (ROM) of the whole body. Pack of hoof ROM is very common, especially in horses with navicular, laminitis, club feet, etc. When the hoof can’t move as it should it will create tension, compensation and lack of ROM through other areas in the whole body. I teach this very application & an effective exercises + more applications and exercises in my online taping course. If you want to learn how to help your horses with tape, this class is the gateway! You can register on my website under “courses”- link in profile! #equineeducation #onlineclass #kinesiotape
Breaking steering a horse down into 3 parts. . The first one is to steer where they are already going. This follows the principle “they need to know the answer before you ask the question” as well as “make the wrong thing hard and the right thing easy.” . When you start by steering them where they are already heading you teach them the association between rein and direction. Additionally, you avoid starting a struggle with a horse who doesn’t know what you’re asking. . While it might seem like just a small little exercise, it’s the fact you’re slowing down, thinking of one thing at a time, and remaining present with no expectations that also helps the horse feel comfortable under saddle. . . . @kimesranchjeans @weaverequine @100xequine . . #HorseTrainingTips #Horsemanship #EquineTraining #HorseTraining #HorsemanshipTips #TrainWithLove #HorseBehavior #EquineEducation #BuildingTrust #EquineWellness #EquineTrainingJourney #HorseLife #HorseTrainerLife #horses #warwickschiller #journeyon
Breaking steering a horse down into 3 parts. The first step was to steer them where they are already going. This makes it so they can't get the wrong answer and you're never in a pulling match with them. You can see the first step a couple of videos back on my page. The second step is to steer them either left or right until they become "straight," meaning the bend of their body and the bend of their head are on the same arc. Once they become "straight" through the turn, you stop the ask and allow the horse to continue. What this step also does is give you and your horse some down time between asks. We're not nagging or drilling them on this stuff, it's all very casual and relaxing for everyone. The horse walks away from this experience with only positive reviews. #HorseTrainingTips #Horsemanship #EquineTraining #HorseTraining #HorsemanshipTips #TrainWithLove #HorseBehavior #EquineEducation #BuildingTrust #EquineWellness #EquineTrainingJourney #HorseLife #HorseTrainerLife #horses #warwickschiller #journeyon
