This family owned restaurant first opened in 1986 and has been a staple in the area ever since. It has been voted "Best in Town" year after year! Many of the menu items are family recipes that have been passed down for generations😀. The Texas waffle is a must-try along with their chicken fried steak. They have a wide array of pies that are made fresh in house. We tried the banana pudding & chocolate pie- both were heavenly😍. Sitagu Buddha Vihara in Austin, Texas A buddhist Monastery that was founded in 1996, and sits on 16.1 acres of land. The Pagoda replica is 1/3 the size of the original Shwezigon in Burma, Myanmar. In ATX it stands 65 feet high and 56 feet wide. There is a collection of 24 two foot statues, each representing a country and era where Buddhism has flourished. This trip I primarily ate Asian food because I needed homey, nostalgic bites after all the American food during the holidays.
