POV: 2024 was the year of home renovations! We did so many home projects this year!! The exterior renovation was a huge one for us!! We finally added some much needed curb appeal to our home exterior!! I’ve been dreaming of this for years!! We built our house back in 2012 but built everything builder grade to avoid a large mortgage ..so finally this year we did some huge updates to the exterior!! We had all of the old siding taken off and we added all new siding! We also added some stone. We added a pitched gable in the front to give us a larger covered porch and we also added it to give the outside of our house a new look! We extended the concrete on the front porch to give us a larger porch and we also added a side walk!! We also added a new kitchen sink and faucet!! I love the new farmhouse sink! It’s so large and so pretty!😍 Then we renovated our master bathroom completely!! We ripped out our small shower and closet and turned into one large tile shower!! It’s one of my favorite spots now lol… And lastly we had an Inground pool put in!! This one was soooo messy.🥴🥴 We had red mud everywhere for months. I almost didn’t make it through this one…. 😂😂 lol jk but between dogs and kids…. You should have seen my floors, couches and rugs… they were always getting dirty… so glad that’s over with …😂😂 So excited to see what 2025 will bring!! #CapCut So much work done and still more to go. In March of 2024, my dad passed from liver and pancreatic cancer that was found two weeks prior. I cared for him on hospice with the help of amazing family and friends and he died in my arms. Afterwards, I decided to take over my childhood home and put everything into renovating it and make it my own. I successfully flipped the entire home in under five months. With the help of some great contractors and companies, we gutted the entire bathroom and kitchen, replaced the floors, interior doors, and baseboards, skim coated all the walls and painted, added recessed lighting in every room, completely redid the exterior with new siding, windows, exterior doors, gutters, shutters, soffits, and fascia. That’s not to say I didn’t run into trouble like having to rehome 50 bats in the attic and sanitize that entire space or when my sewer lines collapsed earlier this week (fun next project!).
