Is it just me or do y’all be feeling like your fasting “wrong” sometimes even though you get breakthrough 😭😭 Some things that I personally do during my fast are: 1. Making sure i’m getting up early enough so that I can spend as much time w/ God throughout the day ( not gonna yieeee when i first started fasting I would sleep in as like a “cheat code” but your only doing yourself a disservice) 2. Starting and ending my day off in the word of God! (I do get into my word throughout the day as well when I feel like it) I also like journaling at the end of my fasting days just to reflect. 3. Setting alarms to pray throughout the day! (this just keeps me grounded and in constant prayer throughout the day which i love) I set alarms for 12, 3, and 6 pm, and ofc end and start my day off in prayer!! 4. WORSHIP, WORSHIP, WORSHIP !! I don’t feel like I need to explain this one. Something about sitting in his presence, just sitting in the awe of God. I feel like that just creates an atmosphere for him to move, to work on my heart, just to uplift his name! More of Him and less of me ultimately!! And full disclaimer I know the Bible teaches not to fast for the attention of others (Matthew 6:16-18), and I fully honor that.
