I felt pretty confident after listening to the verbal arguments yesterday. SCOTUS was pretty hard on both sides The US Gov’s arguments were all hypotheticals whereas the lawyers for TikTok and the creators made valid points. The most disheartening thing is how little the judges seemed to understand technology and the internet in general. 😵‍💫 Another reason against lifetime appointments. Main stream media is saying otherwise. That SCOTUS is signaling to keep the ban. But no one knows how they’ll decide until they release their decision. If TikTok does get banned, I’ll be using a VPN to access it in either Canada or the UK. I don’t make a single penny from the creator fund, but I love the community and education on there. That’s what I refuse to give up. I’ve learned SO much on TikTok and met so many wonderful people from all over the world that share my same interests and passions. Despite the POS that MZ is, I’ll still be here posting writing craft content. And doing what I can to limit the ad revenue they get from me (e.g. changing my ad preferences and permissions, blocking business ads from big business, and not clicking in any ads).
