Explain it to me like I’m 5, #Fidelis. You literally create hoops for physicians and then make them impossible to jump through. If the insurance company physician is supposed to do a peer-to-peer with the prescribing physician and the prescriber is taking time out of their day, the insurance physician better damn sure be available. Also, shame on this insurance physician for contributing to the patient’s illness. It’s also frustrating because in New York, to report this, there isn’t a standalone office of the insurance commissioner - it’s folded into the bureaucracy of the department of financial services. We need #SinglePayer #Healthcare. #InsuranceCompanies #PrivateInsurance
