‼️important‼️ food report from my trip to universal orlando •the new pizza croissant waffle is an excellent display of American innovation. universal remains undefeated in the category of “pizza flavored foods that are not pizza” 🍕🥐🧇 •also relatively new, the pickle poppers at NBC Sports Grill & Brew (a michelin snubbed establishment in my book) take you on a wild ride—dill pickles slightly hollowed out and stuffed with pulled pork, cream cheese and jalapeños, wrapped in bacon and served with bbq ranch. my only note is I felt body shamed by the portion size. •elote and bbq pulled pork nachos from Ale to the Chief next to Dudley Do Right’s Ripsaw Falls. are these new or have I somehow never noticed them? as the nation’s foremost Toon Lagoon scholar, I couldn’t help but wonder if I have been failing to *do right* by my readers all these years. •a Glinda pretzel wand, part of the line up of Wicked themed snacks. white chocolate + salty pretzel remain a perfect combo—the star tip should go straight in the garbage, but is aesthetically necessary. gorgeous color, a case study in mental health benefits outweighing any other concerns about food dye. •pretzel rods from Margaritaville. I am currently working on a comprehensive pretzel rod guide to universal orlando resort so I won’t offer any further comment at this time you’ll simply have to wait im sorry
