I’ve always been so curious as to why humans find flowing water so calming. Perhaps it has always been a source of nourishment for survival, but I feel there is yet a deeper meaning in it. It is such a chaotic, yet effortless motion, the way water flows, constantly moving, never stuck, makes me wonder if we’re meant to do the same. It doesn’t cling to the rocks or fight the obstacles, just finds a way around them without even thinking. It teaches us that change and moving onward is inevitable. But why does that bring us peace instead of fear? Is it because somewhere deep down, we know that staying still isn’t an option, and the river reminds us it’s okay to keep moving, even when the path is uncertain? Could it be that watching water flow reconnects us to something ancient in ourselves, something we’ve forgotten but still feel? - - -
