Perhaps some of the best shaobing is found in a small stall down one of the mini food halls in Flushing. Shaobing is a traditional Chinese flatbread in northern Chinese cuisine that's baked and layered, optionally stuffed with sweet or savory fillings. It's a common breakfast item that’s flaky, juicy and dense. We got the black pepper beef and the cumin lamb fillings at Yukun Shaobing, located inside Landmark Quest Mall. They also have a whole bunch of filling options such as chicken, spicy squid, pork, red bean, shrimp & corn, and spicy tofu. We got the eel and black pepper beef rice rolls, however there’s a large variety of choices at this stall inside the mini food court.
