Upside down orange cake Slight variation of a phenomenal recipe from @cooksillustrated 1 navel orange 2 blood oranges 2 Cara Cara oranges 9Tbsp melted butter 1.5 cups sugar 1tsp cornstarch 1/8 + 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup flour 1tsp baking powder 1/2 cup sour cream 2 whole eggs 1tsp orange zest 2tsp vanilla -Preheat oven to 350 -Grease and line a 9” cake pan -Zest 1tsp orange -Cut oranges as seen -Pour 4Tbsp melted butter into the pan and swirl -Combine 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, and 1/8tsp salt.
