Surfing is like dating: some days you’re riding high, and other days… you’re ghosted by the ocean. 🌊 In life, we can’t control when we have the “perfect conditions.” Nor should we make things or people outside our control mean anything about who we are. The most important thing you can do is show up, get back out there, and not let external forces mean anything about who you are. That’s exactly how I felt this week at surf camp in Bahia. When the waves were choppy or the current decided to humble me, I stopped getting frustrated and started celebrating the fact that I showed up. I paddled out, got some reps in, and learned to ride the “wave”—even if I didn’t always catch the wave. Whether it’s surfing, dating, or anything else you’re chasing, let the rough days roll off you like water. Tomorrow’s a new day, a new wave, and who knows? If you go into it without carrying the weight of how you performed in yesterday’s conditions, you might just catch the ride of your life. 🤙🌴 Tune into this week’s @thatspowerfulstuff for all of my metaphorical musings from surf camp and how to apply them to your growth mindset in life (all coming from things I learned and re-learned this week 😂😂🏄🏻♀️)
