ฟ๏ธ Relatively small dirt parking lot. Parking is not allowed along the access road. ๐ฅพ 16.9 miles RT, 2,788โ of elevation. ๐ฆ There are multiple water crossings so be prepared and do not attempt to cross anything that you are not comfortable with. โ ๏ธ Follow all White River National Forest & Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness rules and regulations. โบ๏ธ Camping in the conundrum permit zone is only allowed in designated campsites that must be reserved ahead of time. ๐ฅ Campfires are prohibited above 10,800โ and at all campsites in the conundrum permit zone. ๐ป Be bear and moose aware and if you are backpacking bear cans are required. ๐ป Use portable toilets (WAG Bags) or bury waste in a 6-8โ deep hole away from campsites, trails, and water sources. Pack out toilet paper. ๐งญ We recommend downloading the trail map before attempting this hike. ๐ฅ The maximum group size is 10. ๐ซ Outside of the conundrum permit zone camping is not allowed within 100โ of lakes, streams, or trails and free self serve permits are required. ๐ฆฎ Dogs on leash are allowed on the first section of the trail, but they are not allowed in the conundrum permit zone so we donโt recommend bringing them. (Pack out dog poop) โ
