save these cheesy scalloped potatoes for your next holiday gathering 🤍 Ingredients: •3 russet potatoes (peeled & thinly sliced) •1/3 cup unsalted butter •1/3 cup flour •1tsp salt •1/2 tsp onion powder •3.5 cups milk •1/2 cup heavy cream •3.5 cups shredded cheese (I use medium & sharp) •1 cup panko breadcrumbs Instructions: •preheat oven to 400° and grease a 9x13 baking dish •in a medium saucepan, melt butter and add flour, salt, and onion powder, stirring for 1 minute •slowly pour in milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly. Reduce to a simmer for about 10 min •add sliced potatoes to greased baking dish 1 layer at a time. Cover each layer with cheese sauce and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Repeat on all 3 layers. •top with shredded cheese and panko breadcrumbs •cover and bake for 1.5 hour •uncover and cook an additional 10 min to get that brown crisp color on top I’ve been bringing this to all of my family holidays for years end they’re always a hit!
