As least 3 financial scam crimes have been reported in #GlenRockNJ in the last month. The first one: Some time during mid November a resident said that the bank they used alerted them of an unauthorized $150,000 from their account, the bank contacted the resident for approval, but was unable to cancel the transfer in time. The second financial scam was a Glen Rock couple who told police they received an email saying that malware was installed on their phone and they would have to pay close to $2000 in bitcoin so it wouldn't be compromised. The third & most recent scam that was reported by patch.com said that a resident told police that someone tried to transfer $100,000+ out of their account into another.
