@Dreamsonapillow1948 Attention Gamers Supporting Palestine! 🇵🇸👾 If you’re a gamer and stand with Palestine, you need to check out the incredible work of Palestinian game developer Rasheed Abu Eideh. Rasheed’s latest project, Dreams on a Pillow, tells the powerful story of the 1948 Nakba, when Zionist militias violently displaced over 750,000 Palestinians from their homes. This game is more than just a game—it’s a piece of history brought to life. You can support this project by contributing to its LaunchGood campaign (find it on our spreadsheet). The campaign runs until January 13, 2025, with funds going toward asset creation, outsourcing, and salaries for the 9-person development team. The game is scheduled for release in Q4 2026 (October–December). Spread the word! Make your own videos and encourage others to support this campaign and the creation of this vital narrative. While you wait for Dreams on a Pillow, check out Rasheed’s earlier game, Lilya and the Shadows of War. This game follows a young Palestinian girl and her family during Israel’s 2014 assault on Gaza (Operation Protective Edge). In 2021, this game was part of an indie game bundle and helped raise nearly $900,000 for Palestinian aid through UNRWA USA. Rasheed faced significant challenges with Lilya. In 2016, Apple refused to categorize the game as a game, labeling it as “news” instead, even though they approved an Israeli game called Israeli Heroes. After public outcry and Rasheed sharing his experience on social media, Apple finally relented and allowed Lilya and the Shadows of War to be labeled correctly as a game. Lilya and the Shadows of War is still available on the Apple App Store—download it today! Rasheed’s work is a testament to resilience and the power of storytelling through gaming. Let’s show him and his team the support they deserve!
