Prepare the Fruit Mixture: * Soak the Dried Fruits: In a bowl, combine the prunes, mixed peel, raisins, cherries. You can soak the fruits in rum or red wine for a few hours or overnight to enhance the flavor. * Optional: If you prefer a more traditional approach, you can soak the fruits in the rum or wine for several days or weeks for maximum flavor. 2. Creaming the butter and Sugar: * Cream the butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. This will give your cake its airy texture. 3. Add Wet Ingredients: * Add Eggs: Beat the eggs in one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. * Add the Flavors: Stir in the vanilla , rose water, lime juice, and lime rind. 4.
