The Beatles play on VARA-TV stationed in the Netherlands, June 1964 Jimmie Nicol replaces Ringo on drums, who happens to turn 85 today! Ringo was ill during this time and a frantic George Martin called Jimmie to audition to be in The Beatles for a bit. He did an excellent job!! Sadly it can’t be heard here, but there are a few other videos where you can see the only temporary Beatle replacement. Hope he is well, he’s been out of the public eye for quite a while but I thought it would be worth sharing this ✌️☮️ Sadly the performance was mimed, but the microphones were left on.
