Hey, TikTok fam! 🌟 I know I’ve been a bit MIA, but I wanted to pop in with some exciting news. Guess what? I’m celebrating 2 years in remission and I just turned 31! 🎉 My latest PET scan and biopsies came back all clear, so I’m still cancer-free! Woohoo! This year has been a whirlwind! I traveled to DC twice with the @Melanoma Research Foundation and @American Cancer Soc. (ACS CAN) to advocate for melanoma and cancer awareness. I even met many of my social media (my melahomies) friends in person for the first time! Such a surreal experience, and I can’t wait to go back to DC in a couple of months to see and hug them all again! I helped provide free skin checks in my town with @The Skin Cancer Foundation ‘s #DestinationHealthySkin skin screening RV program! Plus, I became a @Lovekinship ambassador, which is a dream come true because they make my absolute favorite sunscreen and skincare products! 🌞💖 I also raised awareness for Lymphedema with #Juzo, as it’s something I now live with due to my melanoma diagnosis. I even got a melanoma ribbon tattoo on my middle finger because, well, f*** cancer! 😜 I vacationed in Ocean City, MD, my happy place, and got the cutest new bunny rabbit. 🐰 We upgraded our bathroom and got a tub with jets! Oh, and I MET @mgk !!! I got to watch him perform "Lonely Road" from the front row in the same parking lot where I get my cancer treatment in WV! 🤩 I lost a few loved ones and people close to me along the way, and watched my friends both succeed and battle their own reoccurrence with cancer. Like my beautiful friend Meagan - she lost her battle with stage 4 melanoma recently and it’s something that will forever be heavy in my heart. It’s been a rollercoaster of a year, but I survived and feel so blessed to be here. I am going back to DC in a couple months with @Melanoma Research Alliance where I’ll be meeting up with even more of the melanoma community. So much good to look foward too!
