What 24 hours of pumping looks like for me 🍼 with timestamps! I exclusively pump 4-5 times a day all sessions 20 minutes each..I try not to stress about being exactly the same every day, because each day is different! I was told that the medicine from having a C-section can really delay your milk from coming. I struggled so bad with producing barely any colostrum. Which we know is incredibly important for our newborns. By day 2 my baby stomach was growling so loud and he lost 5% body weight. I had to supplement and give him formula until my milk came. I pumped every 2-3 hours and before I knew it, the milk was coming and overflowing! I was sad that he wasn’t latching but I didn’t stress out too much. I was just happy that my milk finally came. Now I have to use a nipple shield to help him latch but I mostly pump and he’s bottle fed. I say…whatever works best for you and the baby. Just whatever you do, don’t give up. It’s still a challenge but the benefits of breastmilk are so rewarding and worth all the hard work! Don’t give up!
