✨ Reflecting on a Year of Growth, Love, and Healing ✨ As I look back on this past year, I feel a whirlwind of emotions. It’s been a journey filled with incredible highs and profound lows. I’ve experienced the heart-wrenching loss of three people I cared for deeply, along with the bittersweet farewell to my beloved twin dogs, Coco and Chanel. Their memories will always hold a special place in my heart. Despite the challenges, I found solace and strength in my passion for music. This year, I produced three tracks, two of which charted within weeks of their pre-release. I’m especially proud of "What’s That Feeling," which soared to number one on the tech house chart on Traxsource and made it into the top 200 tracks for 2024! Releasing my music on NYC’s label by Cevin Fisher and Templar felt like coming home, and I’m grateful for their incredible support. One of the year’s highlights was playing at Miami Music Week on the rooftop of the Clevelander. It was surreal to be back in a city where I’ve enjoyed so many unforgettable nights since the early 2000s. Winning the DJ mix contest and being invited to perform by Redux Saints was a dream come true! I also proudly played my first year for Daybreaker as part of the Rock the Vote campaign, performing at their Cleveland and Pittsburgh shows. It was an inspiring experience to blend music with civic engagement. Additionally, I had the honor of playing at a wonderful exhibition at the Mansfield Art Center. As an artist myself, I’ve always infused music into my exhibitions, so being invited to contribute to an international exhibition was a perfect fit. I’m especially excited about future collaborations, particularly with one of my favorite artists, Leigh Brooklyn, who gifted me a precious print from the portrait she created of me for her collection. This year, I also had the incredible opportunity to attend Movement as part of their media team. I conducted some amazing interviews, met a diverse array of talented creatives, and even shared the big stage with DJ Minx and Honey Dijon. I was absolutely blown away by the energy and talent around me! Another dream came true when I played in Brooklyn, NY—where I was born—at Silo Nightclub for the Premovement party alongside Waajeed, Roman Martinez, and Will OB. Being invited by my friend Devon James made this experience all the more special. Throughout the year, I remained busy with gigs, including two shows in Pittsburgh—my old stomping grounds—where it felt amazing to reconnect with the scene. Playing in Detroit was another highlight, where I felt the love from the audience and knew I was making a difference. As I enter my ninth year at my massage and esthetic studio, I’m filled with gratitude for the energy I can share with my clients. I also opened a second studio at the stunning 1840 Manor House in Akron, which has been a source of inspiration and motivation. I’m committed to delivering positive energy to my cities through both my treatments and my music. Getting requests to play at Crobar and Submerged felt like the icing on the cake, and it’s heartwarming to know that people resonate with my sound. Amidst all the triumphs, this year has also been about healing. I don’t often speak about my struggles, but I have a solid support system that allows me to process everything. As we approach 2025, I’m excited for what lies ahead. My hard work is beginning to pay off, and I’m ready to embrace everything this new year has in store. At 51, I’ve learned that time is just a number. What truly matters is believing in myself, and I am committed to owning my journey. Here’s to a year of growth, love, and the pursuit of dreams! 🎶💖
