2024: A Year of Growth, Challenges, and Gratitude As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on everything this year brought into my life—the victories, the lessons, and the incredible people who stood beside me through it all. This year wasn’t always easy, but it was filled with moments that reminded me why I do what I do. From traveling across the world, educating over 100 veterans about their VA home loan benefits, and teaching over 90 agents the importance of VA home loans, to starting my workout journey, honoring over 1,000 veterans locally, and receiving incredible recognition as Businessperson of the Year and Santa Maria Affiliate of the Year, 2024 has been a year of purpose, growth, and gratitude. On a personal note, Vanessa and I celebrated 10 amazing years of marriage this year. Through every challenge and triumph, her support has been my rock, and I’m so thankful for the life we’ve built together. I also had the privilege of sharing my mission and story through interviews with local news stations, radio shows, and newspapers—an opportunity to reach more people and shed light on the importance of supporting veterans and empowering communities. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of prioritizing myself mentally. Taking the time to focus on my well-being has helped me become stronger and more present for my family, my work, and my mission. There were moments of doubt, where the weight of challenges felt overwhelming, but those were the moments that shaped me the most. Every hurdle reminded me of the power of resilience and the importance of leaning on the people who believe in you. To my clients, my family, my friends, and my community—you’ve made this year unforgettable. Your trust, encouragement, and kindness are what keep me going. As I look ahead to 2025, I feel a deep sense of gratitude and hope. I’m ready to build on the lessons of this year and make an even bigger impact for the people I serve and the causes I care about.
