Struggling to get enough sleep as a mom? Studies show that moms lose up to 3x more sleep than dads during the first years of parenthood. The honest truth is: they say “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” But we do. A trickle. A drop. Because we have to, and we believe that’s what good motherhood means. Mental illness x motherhood is so hard to navigate. #mentalhealthformoms
In 2025 I’m determined to find a better balance between motherhood and self-care… even if that means late night workouts when I’m exhausted. Just gotta remind myself that I always feel tons better afterwards!🫶🏼🥹 #momlife #twinmom #momlifeunfiltered #selfcareformoms #selflove #selfcareroutine #nightroutine #eveningroutine #parentingrealtalk #mentalhealthformoms #twinmomlife #selfcarejourney #busymom #momlifebalance

Motherhood is a profound transformation—it’s not just about having a baby; it’s about becoming someone new. 🌱 You’ve likely heard about the sleepless nights and endless diaper changes, but no one tells you how much your identity shifts, too. It’s not just your body that changes; it’s your mind, your priorities, and even your sense of self. 💭 Here’s the thing: it’s okay to grieve the ‘old you’ while embracing the ‘new you.’ This phase—often called matrescence—is a messy, beautiful, and challenging rebirth of your own. And guess what? You don’t have to navigate it alone. 💕 Hi, I’m Eszter—a mom of two, a therapist for moms, and someone who truly gets it. To all the moms out there: you’re NOT lazy. 💛 You’re overwhelmed. You’re exhausted. You’ve been giving so much of yourself—to your kids, your family, your work—and you’re running on empty. Let me remind you: it’s OK to rest. Rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. It doesn’t make you lazy. It makes you human. So today, I’m giving you permission to pause. To take a deep breath. To let something go. To care for yourself, even if it’s just for a few minutes. You’re doing better than you think, and your worth isn’t measured by how much you accomplish in a day. Tag a fellow mom who needs to hear this. 🫶 #MomLife #ParentingSupport #YouDeserveRest #MentalHealthForMoms #GentleReminder

Postpartum struggles are real, and I feel like as a society we put so much pressure on moms to just love their bodies after having a baby. Stretch marks, loose skin—it’s okay if you’re not the biggest fan of them. It took me a long time to feel good about my postpartum body, and I’m still working on getting stronger and healthier after gaining 60 pounds during pregnancy. It’s okay to want to improve yourself—not just postpartum, but in life in general. Moms, it’s a huge adjustment, and you’re not alone girl! It’s been a journey filled with ups and downs since I lost my son. Some days, it feels like a heavy weight on my heart. But I've also learned to honor his memory by helping others.
