Chicago police are searching for Kevin Spencer, a 34-year-old man from the city's Lakeview neighborhood. Spencer, who works in NBC Chicago's IT department, was last heard from Friday Jan. 24, according to police. Spencer did not report to work this week, which concerned friends and family members say is uncharacteristic. Anyone with information about Spencer or his whereabouts are asked to contact CPD Area 3 Special Victims Unit, at 312-744-8266. #missingpersons #chicago #lakeviewchicago
Brianna Maitland (born October 8th, 1986) was last seen at her dishwashing job at the Black Lantern Inn in Montgomery, Vermont, between 11:20 pm and midnight on March 19th, 2004. Brianna’s coworkers asked her to have dinner with them, but she declined because she was tired and had to get up early to go her second job as a waitress in St. Albans, Vermont. She left work and was supposed to go home to where she lived with a friend in Sheldon, Vermont. She never arrived and her friend assumed she had moved back in with her parents and brother in East Franklin, Vermont. The friend called Brianna's parents on March 23rd and found out Brianna wasn't there, and reported her missing. Brianna's vehicle, a pale green four-door 1985 Oldsmobile sedan, was found abandoned on March 20, off East Berkshire Road and Route 118, across Dutchburn Farm Road, about a mile outside of Montgomery. It was parked partially inside an abandoned barn. Two of Brianna's uncashed paychecks were on the front seat of the car. She also left behind all her clothing, her medicine, driver's license, her makeup, and her contact lenses. Some of her belongings were strewn on the ground in front of the car. A woman's fleece jacket was found in a field near Brianna's car, but it apparently did not belong to her. The Oldsmobile had sustained minor damage; it had apparently backed into the building and punctured a hole in the wall. Investigators later came to believe the accident may have been staged. Police did not initially report the abandoned car to Brianna's mother, who is the registered owner. They noticed Brianna's paychecks inside the vehicle and guessed that she was the primary driver, so they went to her place of work to try to find her and tell her about the car. The abandoned Oldsmobile and Brianna's disappearance were not connected until her disappearance was reported three days later. About three weeks before Brianna disappeared, she was reportedly attacked by a female acquaintance in front of several witnesses. The reasons for the assault are unclear. Brianna did not try to defend herself, although she has had several years of martial arts training. After the attack she went to the hospital and received treatment for facial cuts, two black eyes and a concussion. She filed a criminal complaint against her alleged attacker. The case was still pending when Brianna disappeared. After she vanished, the district attorney dropped the complaint, against the objections of Brianna's parents. There is a possibility that Brianna left of her own accord; she mentioned to friends her plans for possibly making a short trip out of the area. She is described as an independent, restless young woman who was unhappy in her rural surroundings, and she has run away before. Brianna passed her GED examination on the day of her disappearance; she planned to attend college part-time. Authorities believe she was a victim of foul play and her disappearance is possibly dr*g-related; dr*gs are very common in the Montgomery area. Brianna's parents also think she came to harm, but they maintain their daughter was not seriously involved with dr*gs and dr*gs were not a factor in her disappearance. Her parents separated after her disappearance and her mother now lives in New York. Brianna’s case remains unsolved. #missingperson #missingpeople #missingpersons #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok #briannamaitland

On June 13th, 2001 Jason Jolkowski (born June 24th, 1981) was called into work early. He worked at a Fazoli's restaurant on 80th and Cass Streets in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. His car was in the shop for repairs and he initially said he would walk there, but then called back and made arrangements for a coworker to pick him up at Jason's old school, Benson High School, eight blocks from his home. Jason carried his red work t-shirt with him at the time of his disappearance. On the way out the door of his family's residence, he decided to help his younger brother take trash cans into the garage. A neighbor saw him carry the cans into the garage at his house in the area of 48th and Bedford Streets. This was at 10:45 am. Between 11:15 and 11:30 am, Jason's coworker called the house to find out why he hadn't met her at the high school. This is when his disappearance was discovered. A later check of security cameras at Benson High School show he never arrived on campus. Jason has never been heard from again. He left $650 behind in his bank account, which has not been touched since his disappearance. He has not cashed any of his paychecks, used his cell phone or ATM card, or picked up his car from the auto repair shop since his disappearance. Jason was supposed to start a new job a week after he vanished, and was excited about it; he never showed up to begin work there. He had no more than $60 on his person on the day he disappeared, and no personal items were missing from his room. He did his household chores as usual up until the time he disappeared. Jason's loved ones suspect foul play may have been involved in his disappearance. They say he is too responsible to have left without warning, and he was not having any problems at the time of his disappearance. He is described as a shy person who was not involved with dr*gs or alcohol and was close to his family at the time of his disappearance. He has no known enemies. His mother founded Project Jason, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the families of missing people and publicizing missing person cases, after her son vanished. Jason’s case remains unsolved. #missingpeople #missingperson #missingpersons #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok #jasonjolkowski

Kristen Kryszak (born November 16th, 1982) was last seen after a New Year's party in Memphis, Tennessee on January 1st, 2001. She was with her boyfriend, Brent Wolverton, and another man, Josh Anders, when she was last seen. Both men played in Interstate, a local band, which was performing at the party that night. Josh stated that after the party, at 10:00 am, Kristen asked him for a ride home. He borrowed a blue 1988 Ford Aerostar van. It belonged to another guest at the party, Bradford S. "Tolly" Toland. They drove around for four or five hours, but could not find the house Kristen was looking for, so they went to Brent’s apartment on Clark Place. When Josh walked up to the front door, Kristen got behind the wheel of the van and drove away. Brent, however, stated Kristen went to his apartment that afternoon with Josh and Tolly, and the three of them knocked on the door, then left. He said one of them called him at 2:00 pm to say Kristen had stolen the van while they were getting gas. She has never been heard from again. The day she disappeared was very cold and snowy, and road conditions were poor. The van has never been recovered. Tolly stated he reported it as stolen, but investigators have been unable to locate the report. Kristen did not take any extra clothing, money or personal belongings with her when she vanished. She was leading a high-risk lifestyle at the time of her disappearance and was involved with dr*gs. She had been through dr*g rehabilitation twice, unsuccessfully. Kristen grew up in Indiana, and moved to Memphis at age 16 to live with her father. She dropped out of White Station High School. She had a history of running away from home in both Indiana and Tennessee, but she always kept in touch with her family. None of her relatives have heard from her since her disappearance, and her Social Security number has not been used. Although there is no evidence that Kristen was a crime victim, authorities and her family believe she is d*ceased. Kristen’s case remains unsolved. #missingpeople #missingperson #missingpersons #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok #kristenkryszak

James Brian Rowe (born March 2nd, 1978) was last seen in Crestone, Colorado on July 30th, 2004. He left town and planned to go to a hot spring, and never returned. On August 3rd, his Jeep, which contained hiking and camping gear and had the keys inside as well, was found twenty miles north of Crestone, on a road off Colorado 17. This was the same day he was reported missing. Authorities believe he may have tried to walk back to Crestone. James reportedly made a bank transaction on August 2 in Villa Grove, Colorado and may have been seen at a Wal-Mart in Alamosa, Colorado on August 3rd. James was the co-owner of Earth-star Co-Op, a natural foods store and restaurant in Crestone. Shortly before his disappearance, he attended a weekend empowerment seminar hosted by Landmark Education in Denver, Colorado. His loved ones stated that he changed his appearance, became "scattered and ungrounded" and appeared delusional after the seminar. It is worth noting that Landmark Education has previously been accused of brainwashing and other cult-like activities. His family says he has never left without warning before and has always stayed in touch with his mother, who lives in Burlington, Vermont. She has not heard from him since his disappearance. He may be in the Chaffee County, Colorado area. In the fall and winter of 2004 there were reported sightings of him in Alamosa, Salida, and Poncha Springs, Colorado. He may also have been seen at a truck stop near Thomasville in southern Georgia in November 2005. James enjoys music, cooking, and outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking. He is a vegetarian. His sister fears he suffered a nervous breakdown and may have harmed himself. His case remains unsolved. #missingpersons #missingperson #missingpeople #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok #jamesbrianrowe

Lori Paige (12) was last seen at the 2100 block of Continental Court in Tallahassee, Florida, on June 3rd, 2023. In February of 2024, a diving effort was made to search for Lori in Lake Esther, the central lake of San Luis Mission Park. This search was unsuccessful, as no clues about Lori’s disappearance were made. Neighbors and community members collaborated to distribute posters, organize search parties and raise awareness on social media. The outpouring of support indicates the community’s commitment to finding Lori and returning her home safely. The underlying issue of this case is that no one has any clues or knows what happened to Lori, including the Tallahassee Police Department(TPD). Nancy Grace, a well-known television journalist and legal commentator, weighed in on the disappearance of Lori and gave more insight into the investigation. On an episode of Crime Stories, Nancy explains that she was reported missing by her father, who works at a local corrections facility. Margie Summers, a paraprofessional at Griffen Middle School who was close to Lori, was questioned on Lori’s living situation with her father, in which she stated, “about a year prior to her disappearance, her mother brought her to the father and basically left her with her father…” She explained that the father was new to parenting, but the child and her father were figuring it out together. It was also stated that Lori was an outstanding student, which seemed to reflect her at-home life. Margie explained that she was so well-kept and energetic at school that it was hard for her to believe that Lori’s at-home life may not have been all it was made out to be. Because of the lack of leads in this case, TPD detective Anna Drake concludes that all signs point to Lori’s disappearance being a run-away situation. All though this seems to be a widely-thought outcome within the department, TPD ensures that they will exhaust all options while looking for Lori. There is currently a $15,000 reward for information leading to Lori’s recovery. #missingperson #missingpeople #missingpersons #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok #loripaige
