foIIow me on lG for more: @jasminescozydiary making my rechargeable candles look more realistic. as you all know, i have SO MANY faux candles around my home, as i love the ambiance the provide. iām obsessed with look of the trickled down melted wax that comes with real candles thoughāit gives off a much more cozy vibe. i decided it was worth a shot to see if i could create that look on my faux candles + i feel like they turned out so well! iāll absolutely be doing this to the rest of the ones that i have around my home. ____________ if youād like to give this a try, hereās what i did: (this has the potential to get a little bit messy so i used an old box as a drop mat) i carefully dripped wax from the taper candle along the outer edges of the faux candlesāmaking sure to focus the majority of the drips along the front where the curves were. the faux candles came in three different sizes so i added more drips to each candle as they went down in size to give the illusion that they had been burned more. once i was done creating the drips, i was left with obvious bumps along the edges so i took a blow torch to them while slowly rotating the faux candle to soften and finalize the look.
