💪 Biceps Challenge: Drag Curl vs. Classic Curl! 💪 Are you ready for a challenging question? 🤔 One trainee performs a Dumbbell Drag Curl, while another performs a Classic Dumbbell Biceps Curl. When both reach the same range of motion at 90 degrees of elbow flexion, lifting the same dumbbell, is there a difference in the load on the elbow flexors? The answer is YES! There is a difference. Why? In the Classic Curl, the full force of the dumbbell challenges the elbow flexors at 90 degrees. In the Drag Curl, the resistance starts lighter but peaks at the end of the motion when the biceps are fully contracted. This makes the Drag Curl unique for maximizing tension in full contraction, unlike the Classic Curl, where resistance decreases at the top.
