Jasper the #goldendoodle is usually on a very regular schedule I have been grooming him for 6 to 7 years since he was a little puppy 🥰 But #lifehappens 🤷 one of Jasper's appointments had to be canceled. He ended up going 13 weeks between his appointments which is way longer than his normal 8 weeks. Because we had left his coat a little bit longer the last few times his coat ended up getting matted. But that's okay cuz we can just start over😁 #doghair grows back! Some may ask "Why would you wash and dry all that hair then cut it off?" We do this to save our equipment. Shaving dirty hair will dull or damage a blades. And a blade costs anywhere from $45 to $65+ each. Yes, we can get them sharpened! But you can only sharpen them so many times before they are trash. Also because we washed and blow dried with our high velocity dryer. We were able to leave the coat just a little bit longer.
