My queen passed the day after thanksgiving last year & even with the dementia she still had her loving, funny & fiery personality. I hadn’t been to Trinidad in years but I just had a feeling that last year would be her last year so I renewed my passport and took the trip just to see her & introduce her to my husband & tell her I’m🤰🏽🥹. Before my parents moved to the USA we lived in a ready made unit under her house in Trinidad and she helped raise me. Even up till the last time I visited 🇹🇹 I still feel a strong connection to that house. I honestly can’t imagine the next time going back & not seeing her sitting there smiling and trying to give me money😭 or something to eat/drink. I’ll forever be grateful for all of the memories we shared.
