So magical ✨🌲❄️ This is the Old Man's Cave hike in Hocking Hills and its straight out of a fairytale. It's a little over a mile long and pretty easy. You start at the upper falls, pass unique rock formations, see the devils bathtub, walk under the A-Frame Bridge, walk through a stone tunnel to get to Old Man's Cave, continue your hike to lower falls. Please be aware that winter conditions can become very icy so plan accordingly. These videos were taken on Jan 8th and the hike still had lots of fresh snow. There were spots where the snow was getting packed down and it was starting to ice over! Wear proper hiking shoes and bring water. 🦟Bug spray and sunscreen are a must! 🚗 There is a parking area but not any picnic tables, garbage cans or restrooms. If you bring a snack pack it out. 🌟The area by the bridge has steep cliffs, stay on the trail and keep a close eye on kids. 🪨 The trail to the Rockbridge branches off to go to the Rock Shelter. 🦋 The preserve has a butterfly garden along the trail. Grab a meal at Gatherall, sip a cold brew from Hi-Wire, and more! 🌮 Make reservations at Mita’s for tasty tapas! Did you know that Ohio has an African Drive-Thru Safari were you can feed the giraffes? 🦒 While visiting Lake Erie we stumbled upon @africansafariwildlifepark in Port Clinton which provides a solid afternoon of entertainment. 🦙The park is open seasonally so add this to your Ohio summer bucket list. 🦘Admission not only gets you unlimited trips through the drive-thru safari (up until an hour before they close), but also you get to explore their walk-thru safari. ‼️ Warning: You are doing this at your own risk. There is a sign that states the park is not liable for any injury to you are your vehicle. 🦜The walk-thru safari gives you the opportunity to see a variety of birds and animals. You can even feed Budgies, walk with Capybaras, and kangaroos. (Some are an extra cost). 🥬 One cup of feed is included per car with additional cups being $5, or food packages available for purchase. 🦕They also have Dinosaur Takeover which is returning for 2025! There is a sign that states the park is not liable for any injury to you are your vehicle. 🦜The walk-thru safari gives you the opportunity to see a variety of birds and animals. You can even feed Budgies, walk with Capybaras, and kangaroos.
