SAVE THIS SNOWSHOE TRAIL FOR ULTIMATE GRINCH TREE + LAKE VIEW VIBES 🙌🏼 What you’re NOT gonna do is tell me the Grinch doesn’t live along Raven Trail in Crater Lake National Park where he snowshoes down to Whoville because straight up that’s exactly who I felt like I was up here 😆 For my first time snowshoeing I fear I may have been SPOILED ROTTEN because these views the entire trail were insane 🤯 Here are some details on the trail 👇🏼 🪧 Raven Trail, 2 miles out & back, 600’ elevation gain, rated difficult 🏫 Trailhead by Steel Visitor Center ⏳ Park ranger said the fastest this snowshoe trail is usually done is 2 hrs depending on fitness & my husband & I were SHOCKED when we did it in about 2 hrs 15 mins - we were hustling it seems (which explains all the sweat 😆) 🦮 NO DOGS ALLOWED (& tbh it would be a nightmare with them) 🚨 Once you get to the top stay back from the edge because snow cornices occur & make it look like there is more solid ground to stand on but it’s really just snow & your body weight could collapse it & you both fall down into the lake which is not a good way to go I would assume 👩🏼🏫 if you don’t have snowshoes or don’t want to go alone, there are guided treks with rangers you can go on — just ask a park ranger when it is that day What do you think? Are all snowshoe trails ruined or do I still have some hope for my future? & where should I go?! Bonus points if the trails are in the Pacific Northwest/Oregon 🙌🏼
